Does anyone know any good propane suppliers in Suffolk County? From experience, can you please tell me what the avg cost is for propane gas? I'm buying a house that doesn't have gas, and I'd like to get propane for cooking and the dryer. Do propane companies provide installation services of gas lines from the tank to the appliances? Does anyone know what that would cost? Also, how much would the propane cost me in a year for cooking / dryer? If anyone has experience with this, I would really appreciate your sharing this information with me. Thanks.

Propane is wayyy expensive out here. I would stick to electric for both, unless gas is available.

Propane trades in close proximity to the price of heating oil. Currently, that's about $4 a gallon.

For some reason propane is usually .50 to 1.00 more than oil out here. Not sure why?(weak demand)

Propane for cooktop only costs me only about $60 every nine months.

Synergy Gas in Medford is who I use.

We have 2 tanks I think 22 gal each. We get them filled about every 9 months. Its about $170 for a fillup, so what's that, about $4 a gallon??

We use Audell Bennett

FYI...

A lot of folks get gallons and pounds mixed up when describing propane. A regular size bbq tank is 20 pounds...not gallons. It holds roughly 4.1 gallons of propane.

I know this is a late response. I use Cylinder Express. We have propane for cooking, fireplace and pool heater. Their rate was significantly cheaper than the competitors. We bought the house with the lines in place so I am not sure if they do the installation but check their website.
