Notice I said "home," not "house." (Or, in other words, take note if the description of the style of a home is listed as "Other.")
Since the links don't work too well, go to MLSLI.com, choose "advanced search," and in the box on the upper right hand corner that says "search by ML #" type in 2457462.
The last picture shows the outside of this home.
While the interior is nicely appointed in some respects, would you pay almost $900K to live in a house that looks like this on the outside (which is also on a busy commercial street)?
While I have seen houses turned into businesses, I have rarely seen commercial buildings turned into homes.
Actually, yeah. I would. But I'm also strange like that. I think it's artisitc and cool. And the walls outside would be a great background for photography. And I wouldn't have to worry about the owner getting upset because I'd be the owner. It'd be awesome.
As a preservationist, I think it is a great adaptive reuse of a space and am thrilled that someone didn't tear it down and squeeze in a fauxlonial. The home is eclectic, yet has some interior elements which are traditional. I believe they should have spruced up the atrium space before taking photos -- the second photo on the listing shows broken trellis (I am drawing a blank on the word, sorry) an unwrapped lollicolumn, exposed tarpaper, a piece of plywood(?) on the ground -- it looks unfinished.
Would I buy it? No. Do I like it? Yes.
