@BigBlue- I made this on the fly and forgot Islip.. If there's anyway a mod can add Islip and take out Merrick, please do so.
@Nassau2suffolk- Good choice. Also Malverne's a tight little village.

Good post . I tried to mainly include incorporated villages because they usually fall into both qualifying categories. Although there's no way we can keep out Sayville and Bellmore (and Islip should be added). You make a good point on Bay Shore and Long Beach. Bellmore's definitely a village though, however not in a legal sense Bellmore Village Merchants Association | "a stroll down memory lane".
@Peqs

Like he knows where Shoreham Village is ; )

Looks like Babylon Village and Sayville are the heavyweight champs of the the Unshore.
Surprised theres not more love for RVC.Fun little town.

Nassau- Rockville Centre, Massapequa Park, S. Bellmore, and of course Long Beach

Suffolk- Babylon, Sayville

Freeport and Amityville have certain sections that are very nice as well.

If I had to choose only one it'd probably be Long Beach followed by Rockville Centre.

I voted for Babylon. I lived there for a short while, loved it. Between the shops, restaurants, Argyle Park, the movie theater and bars, for a twenty-something it was a great place. I still enjoy going back. Sayville and Islip would be tied for second.

Has Long Beach gone ghetto?

Only 1 vote so far. It used to be fun, what happened?

Nonsense. Long Beach is facing fiscal problems right now. It remains a great place for young adults who are looking to waste their money renting and partying. There is a greater amount of Suffolk posters here I believe and that's why results are skewed.

Agree with all you've written, especially the bold. The only exception (which could be affecting Long Beach in the poll) is that Long Beach is a city and the poll asks for favorite villages.

Same thoughts here on RVC. Sayville is better than RVC ? Sayville's really nice, but it's not on the level of RVC, imho. The only village that truly compares is Huntington Village. Galicia#1 is right, Nassau is outnumbered.
