Wow. Just heard that Pete Fornatale has died. All I heard was he had a sudden illness. Just read that he had a brain hemorrhage on April 15 and was in intensive care til this morning at 11:30 when he passed away.

Pete was a high school English teacher of mine and his classes were always interesting and sometimes controversial. He will be missed.

Oh no! He was recently a guest on a program on NCC's radio station. This was about a month ago. He was promoting a retrospective show that he was having at Five Towns College. Shocker!

OH NO - I am so sorry to hear this.
When I had a medical issue several years ago that scared me, I learned that Pete had the same issue. I got in touch with him, and he was so helpful & reassuring.

Yes, the media is quite different than today, hard to imagine just listening to a radio late at night, waiting (imagine that) for the songs you liked.

Great WNEW DJ, loved his voice. Used to catch his "Mixed Bag" show on WFUV. R.I.P. Pete.

I was a fortuan te to not only have been taught English by PEte buit also dennis Elsas. Over teh many years since graduation we have crossed paths and had spoken to both.

Will never forget the movie "An Occurence at Owl Creek Bridge" that we watched in Petes' English class.

I called FUV a while back to inquire about a song I heard on the radio .. Pete answered the phone, so I expressed my thanks for "the old days". We spoke about music on the phone for several minutes like old friends. Never forgot that.
