we're looking at some houses south of stewart ave, north of lirr in estates section of garden city. just curious, are those houses pretty isolated from the rest of the estates section? how difficult is it to cross stewart ave to get to stratford school every day? anyone out there have first hand knowledge?

You'd get a bus to Stratford from there. You wouldn't have your kids crossing Stewart alone, for sure. But that's a nice quiet area, wouldn't hesitate to live there.

It's a great spot. Some really nice homes. The train noise is minimal as they don't get up to speed between GC - Nassau Blvd - Stewart Manor.
