Another thing to consider, most of the middle to lower middle class areas have a high 2year college enrollment for a reason. Not everyone can afford a 500k home and not everyone can afford 25k a year to send their kids to a state school forget about top ranked. I don't see how these aspects makes one better than the other.
People are choosing 2 year schools to start with for many reasons, mostly financial. Since you have to take the same classes the 1st 2 years, why not take it a community college, then transfer to the school you want to go to when you decide what you want to do. Why waste money?
good point, where you go undergrad is less and less relevant. a bachelors = working papers
when I started this full time job back in 2000, all they wanted from my college was a sealed letter stating I had graduated with a 4-year degree. Nothing about GPA, or what major.

How many kids are going straight to the military from LI? Seriously, anyone know?
You can twist and turn the numbers anyway you want to to get different outputs.
I'm not sure if you're being sarcastic but I'm serious about kids going into the military. There's 2 in my family that did that and they each have friends who opted for military service after HS. Some have served their 2 yrs and are now in college. So basically their college enrollment isn't captured because at graduation they were not enrolled in 4 yr schools. Some are still active with the military. There are variables that skew the numbers.
After reading this, and it seems accurate enough, some thoughts
Nassau: North Shore and Clarke seem a bit low, Oyster Bay conitinues to drop, Floral Park seems high.
Suffolk: Sizeable drop after Harborfields, Three Village seems a bit low.
Today's youth just amazes me. Ask them to find the subject, predicate or pronoun in a sentence and they're like . Ask them how much change do you get back if you give them $10.03 when your bill is $8.88 and they're .
Ask them all the texting abbreviations and they'll ramble them off in no time.
