In the police post, there were a few mentions of some of our infamous LI criminals. Probably the most well-known one was the Joey-Amy (and what ever happened to that reconciliation?) fiasco. I think , though, the crime that I remember most is the Pelosi murder. It was a true melodrama with an innocent & good guy being murdered by a scheming lowlife (and possibly his wife) and then , the wife dying and the father testifying against his own son. All that money. All that hatred and evil . Really Shakespearean.

Yeah, we found out my parents house was only a few blocks away from the place she was being held. We were visiting one night and saw all this commotion and that was when they arrested the guy who kept her prisoner. A bit shocking in our own neighborhood.

In the early 1980s at the Sea Crest Diner in Old Westbury, where customers were forced at gunpoint to take off their clothes (after handing over their money and valuables), and to fondle other, random customers for the pleasure of the thugs who robbed them. The owner was badly hurt, as were others. They were beaten, shot, raped...really awful and unthinkable stuff. Earlier that same night, the same group crashed a party in Plainview and pretty much did the same thing there.

I think they're all still in prison. I hope they stay there for life.
