This woman was arrested for DWI, but the reason she was initially pulled over was because she was doing 25 MPH on the SSP. As I read this all I could think of was how GPSMA was holding up in jail.

Going too slow carries a similar moving violation as going too fast.

I don't believe 25 mph in a 55mph equates the same as 80 in a 55 mph zone does. Plus all thing being = GPSMA would be doing the LEGALLY POSTED limit as opposed to this person.

Tell that to the person doing 55 coming around a curve on the SSP, when there's someone doing 25 all of a sudden in front of you.

I thought of the whole thread about the LIE and the arguments around GPSMA's comments LOL
All unrelated stuff. A drunk doing 25 is a drunk doing 25. Not related to proper driving or speed limits at all. The story is tragic. Her tire hit the concrete divider. It would have been tragic doing 55 too. According to the article, she was going with the flow of traffic. By your logic, there should have been cars flipping over the wall all day. Speed wasn't the factor. Not staying in lane was the factor. Once again, you can't legislate lack of skill. Toughen up the driver's test. I have no problem with that.
Speed is always a factor in the severity of an accident. Just get an excess speed ticket and see what your insurance company thinks of you...and that's aside from the 6 points added to your license. Speed increases the potential for a deadly accident.
To blame simply hitting the concrete divider as the cause, is to ignore that speeding caused the tragedy.

Speeding is not always 6 points... You'd have to be going over 21 MPH over a posted limit to get 6 points. That would be doing 76 in a 55 zone.
Most people who as what you call "speed" on a regular basis are not doing it at 76 MPH.
