Over a one week period. I was on LI for a week this past week. I have traveled for work to places including Cancun, Cayman Islands, and South America. The humidity on LI was the worst I have ever experienced for a sustained time anywhere. One day it was 64 degrees, the humidity was 96% and it felt like it was over 90 degrees out! You folks are troopers!~

We are just masochists at heart.
It's been unusually humid for this time of year.

Lol are you kidding? This weekend was nothing compared to the humidity I used to deal with in Florida. I laugh when I hear people complain about the humidity up here.

Humidity in Puerto Rico is much, much worse. Sometimes I wonder how people can survive there.

Then you've clearly never been to NC, VA or FLA.

I have thought the humidity this week has been worse than normal for this time of year, but yes, I've been to other places (Florida in August comes to mind) which were worse. Either way, not a fan.

People here in NC complain about the humidity incessantly. I just don't see it. Hot? Yes. But no way is it more humid than Long Island in the summer.
When we moved here we'd watch the news and listen to the weather reports - end of July-beginning of August - and they'd be talking about how miserably humid it was and how bad it was going to be. After a few days we were like "are we missing something here???"
My mom grew up in new England and detested every summer on LI. When she moved to NC, I was curious what her take on the weather would be. She assured me it was nothing like LI - she was right.
