Any recommendations for a tree service company in the Stony Brook area?

Some of the gorgeous big trees around make me nervous, want to make sure that they are all healthy and maybe trim some branches.

Would Double O be a good choice?
They will be taking care of the lawn - too elaborate for me to do myself, unfortunately.

Docherty, Usher, or Aronica are true, dedicated tree services. That is all they do as certified arborists.

Koch Tree Service, Mt. Sinai NY...NO QUESTION !

They are fully insured and have been in the area, for a LONG TIME !

I don't know if they service your area, though.

I've seen Koch in the area, but am not familiar with their work. Aronica, Docherty, and Usher friends and I have used.

Bob Koch is a very thoughtful businessman, who has been in business, to my knowledge, at least a little over 40 years, now, in the immediate area.

He is fully insured for any eventuality and will gladly show you his ACCORD Statement, that will show his entire insurance status. His workers are the Best, and always give you the best cleanup of the work area.

The best thing a homeowner should do is ask to be named certificate holder prior to any trade starting at their home.

Thanks for all recommendations!

It's amazing how fast trees and other vegetation grow around here.

I think that's why the Indians were regularly and deliberately burning down the forests on the island - to have some control over nature...

I vote for Jeff or Rick Usher - they're based in Stony Brook. Have been using them for years - even in Huntington where we are now.
