You will not find antiques in Selden, in fact it's pretty hard to find high quality antiques anywhere on LI. There are a few thrift shops and a great consignment shop in Riverhead that is probably your best bet for antiques near Selden.

Not on Long Island? I guess you've never driven the north fork. There are a ton of antique shops when you take the north fork (around the wineries) once you get past aquebogue and laurel. Specifically once you hit towns like Mattituck, Peconic, and Cutchogue.
There is also a newer thrift store at the old honey baked ham location on middle country rd in coram which is just east of the post office. The other one is across from Walgreens in Selden.

We were actually looking for a thrift store for clothes for a costume and came across this nice place, just antiques (no clothes). It is located on Middle Country Road across from the Burlington Coat Factory. There used to be an Indian Food restaraunt in the shopping center. I want to say its Lake Grove, but Im not sure.
