It's horrible that a kid that young loses his life. However, I have to tell you..I know people in that neighborhood. That family is a nightmare. Where is the kids dad in the story? I think he just got out of jail a few years ago, big time drug dealer. The news story paints such a rosey picture...believe me, you wouldn't be thinking roses if you lived anywhere near them.

UH, before we blame this on drugs, maybe we should wait for the autopsy report. Damn, give the family a break.

The kid died May 2nd. I think the word is already out that it was drugs. They just haven't published it yet. Again, I know people in that neighborhood, and there are cops living right down the block...who would know what the preliminary ideas about what killed him were.

Did you start this thread just to dish on the kid's family?

Nope. The Oxycontin/Heroin thing is exploding all over LI, as I've mentioned in earlier threads if you run a search. It's in every area, including upscale Mt. Sinai. Watch your kids, check their bags and drawers for pills. This stuff is lethal.

As for the family, I've seen them in action and I wouldn't want to live near them, but luckily I don't. Call that whatever you want.

I'm no expert in this area, but from what I've heard, you're often just as likely to find hard drugs (heroin, cocaine) in "upscale" areas as others....if not more likely.

My, my drugs in affluent area's?? Poppycock! Drugs and crime are only in the poor area's. Thats why homebuyers won't move there silly! Don't you listen to what everyone says!! Mt. Sinai couldn't possibly have drugs!!!
