Is your landscaper still cutting weekly or is he coming bi-weekly?

Do they charge you more on LI to cut bi-weekly?

The landscaper I had last year would cut the grass too low so I made him come bi-weekly. My grass grows nice and lush so I don't want to buzz cut it so we have him come every week. If it gets too high then the old hag down the block will complain and I don't need the town breathing down my neck. She's done it to other people. We pay either $25 or $35 per week. I can't recall off the top of my head because so far my bills have included all the other treatments. I haven't received a regular maintenance bill yet. If your landscaper is cutting it really short, have them come bi-weekly. If it's about 2-3 inches and it grows fast then you might need every week. I have zoysia grass and this year it's growing really full.

I'm home all day so I see all my neighbors' landscapers come at least once a week. Sometimes 2 which is slight overkill. I think somewhere in between would be perfect, lengthwise. After a week on my own lawn, I have to cut it. Grass length is just too staggered and starts to look unsightly. Growth rate has definitely slowed down though. I do my own lawn because I like to spend $100/mo. elsewhere. Only takes an hour a week front and back and an extra shower afterward... not too bad.
