Yelp is good ,but trust me not 100% accurate. Some business owners and friends of said business owners join up just to write bad reviews against the competition. I know this first hand. There are a lot of vindictive pricks out there.

Great app. Btw...... I'll try to delete the signature.

That's why you disregard people with one review and you disregard the extremes on both ends. It's the same with any reviews on the internet, Amazon, etc.

Right, which is why I suggested that OBH looks at the Zagat reviews on Google Maps.

I know a few that have reviews in the hundreds, I know some business owners that give away free food and drinks based on the amount of reviews. It doesn't happen all the time but it does happen.

I appreciate all the suggestions -- apps included.

I will state that the Spanish place I panned (and rightfully so) on Yelp had a bunch of nice reviews on there, but on further examination it appeared that the reviewers were with some sort of planned group dining experience. It would have been in the owner's best interest to put on a real good spread for them.

There are 3 adults and 1 tween. Not looking to grab a slice but don't want to break the bank.

Any suggestions tor a pre theater dinner in the Bway and 54th area?

The evening was a true Friday the 13th. I was all set to take a train out of Stony Brook to arrive in Penn by 5. Events unfolded around here that prevented that from happening. Wound up leaving here at 5:30 drove in, hit ridiculous traffic, was in a parking garage by 7:25. Ran around the corner to Steak and Shake, gobbled up a cheeseburger, witnessed a physical confrontation at the register, left, went around the block to the theater and were seated 10 mins before curtain.

All day all I could think about was Carnegie or Stage Deli

FWIW -- we saw Harvey with Jim Parsons -- Great show! We hung out afterward and got Jim Parson's autograph, so the evening wasn't a total loss
