Does anyone know how to remove a rust stain from a granite countertop in the bathroom sink? It just got there from a steel cup.

Whink Rust stain Remover.
I'd test a VERY small spot first as they do not specify granite countertops.
I've used it successfully on formica, porcelain sinks and tubs and the interior of my dishwasher.

I use Mr. Clean Magic Erasers. I got a rust stain on my bathroom vanity from the toothbrush holder. My vanity is formica and it worked. The erasers are safe on granite countertops. They don't scratch.

Mr Clean erasers do scratch many surfaces. Always test in an inconspicuous location first. They do dull many shiny surfaces. I really noticed it on painted surfaces.

Agreed. An inconspicuous spot should always be tested first. I haven't noticed scratching on my vanity or countertops and I've also used them on my stovetop. I've used it on walls and I did notice that it dulled the surface a bit but it did remove the crayon. As with any product, always best to test first.

They sell cleaners specially formulated for granite and they sell some of these product in Bed, Bath & Beyond. You could also call the place where you got your counter tops and see what they recommend.

So far, I have tried a granite cleaner, mr clean magic eraser, and a green cleaner, and the stain remains. It's lighter but still noticeable. I'll tried a second application today. Thanks for all the replies.
