Lawyers take cases on contingency all the time. The point that this lawyer was making was that no one would take this case on contingency because it would not be worth their while. I guess the parallel in the real estate world is an overpriced listing. Agents should consider whether it is worth their while before they take them.
Yes...lawyers do work on contingency fees but only when suing for damages....and they wont agree to take any case just because someone wants to sue. Unless they see the $$$, they wont take your case.
That's right, I just received my check in the mail for a class action settlement with Sprint. It was for 37 cents! I'm sure the lawyers got millions.
