I need to replace an old humidifier attached to a forced hot air furnace. Aprilaire is supposed to be the best but it is very expensive. Can anyone recommend a good humidifier that is less expensive and also where to buy it?

Without a humidifier, the heat is the house just did not feel comfortable and when the humidifier was working, I could set the thermostat at a lower temp as the moisture in the air allowed a lower setting with more comfort. As for unhealthy spores, of course I don't want them but the house just felt better in the winter with a humidifier.
If anyone can recommend an experience they had with one, good or bad, I would be interested.
