It is only a matter of time before ny installs computerized speed assessment and ticketing. It will be a god send and increase safety. Then all the speeders will realize they saved bery little time by going 75 instead of 55

If that was passed and enough people complained the speed limit will be raised to 65 and as you admitted in the past that you feel safe and drive 65 mph even when the posted speed limit is 65mph+. If you ever drive outside of NYS besides the Thurway. How do you manage driving down south Virginia NC SC where the speed limit is 70+ mph posted limit?
If your not doing 65mph in the hov lane you're ticking a lot of people off. Even at 65 there will be cars impatiently waiting to go by you. I do stick to my guns at 65 in the hov lane however. I feel that is fast enough to stay there without too much risk of a ticket.
Self-righteous drivers who do the speed limit in the left lane are a hazard. It's dangerous and it's arrogant too. If you're in the left lane and you're not passing the cars to your right or someone is behind you waiting to pass then you need to move over even if you're doing the speed limit.
HOV does not equal hurried over-speed vehicle. It means huge over-sized vehicle. Next time I am behind you, move your furry little jackrabbit butt over or I'll have to roll right over you.
so happy my post became a speed limit pissing contest. I'm going to drive 55 tomorrow just for the fun of it. If you impatient LI brats don't like it, too bad!

Should I bother putting the clean pass sticker on my new prius
I just got a new prius and got the clean pass stickers in the mail. I was driving on the LIE yesterday and the HOV was filled with Prius- Funny thing is the regular lanes were moving just as good if not better. Seems the HOV lane is filled up.
On top of that I would need to put 4 ugly stickers all over a brand new car. In reading the information I received with the sticker- The only benefit is the LIE and there is a chance the plan will be canceled due to high volume on the HOV.
I also don't commute every day so I am thinking of not putting them on.
I would not bother. I just post up in the far left lane with my Prius and set the cruise to 55, it's better than the HOV lane because the dangerous speeders pass safely on the right instead of tailgating you.
