Road Construction New Hwy Suffolk County-End Date? (Conklin: contractors, airport)

Hello, Does anyone know when this construction is going to end? its the road that sorta of runs parallel to Route 110 ...and I always used it to avoid 110 traffic but now no choice as the road is closed between 7-4 during the work week.

The road snakes around Republic Airport and is a great route to the Southern State Pkwy. The road is good all the way from SSP to Conklin (traveling North) and then they have it closed from Conklin on due to construction forcing you back to 110 or Pinelawn.

Do you mean New Highway? That road was in great disrepair & had no shoulders. Probably they finally decided to fix it .

Yep. I agree it was bad but now wondering when the construction will end. I looked on DOT site but didn't find that project anywhere.

Let's see, what year is it? You know infrastructure projects in NY tend to go late... way late as the contractors cash registers overflow.
