DH makes the same amount in most areas (he's has a high demand position in healthcare). If I went back to work I would take a substantial pay cut in other parts of the country(teacher). So for us, it would be worth it to move.

I'm envious of those that chose careers that pay the same anywhere they go.
And people that do their work via the internet that can live uptop a mtn in the Swiss Alps or where ever.

I do renovations and while everyone needs a good carp most rural areas that I like....renovation craftsman aren't in high demand
