Our new house was closed in end of May and I did not check Nassau county's web site about tax until today. I found it requires that I file my own STAR application within 60 days of the date of transfer.
My questions are
1. Will I be in any trouble with property tax for late filing?
2. It requires proof of residence: Current car registration, voter registrationcard, 2011 Federal or NYS Tax Income Tax Return, driver’s license or non-driver’s identification card. Does anyone knows if they accept any other kind of proof, such as utility bills?
