Anyone here go to Synergy Fitness? What location? Do you like it? How does it compare to other gyms that you've used? How expensive are its dues?

I was a member of Synergy in Farmingdale and have been to Levittown. Disliked them both. I preferred Xtreme in Farmingdale (was Golds) and Xtreme in Massapequa. Dues the same. Had a hard time cancelling my contract from Xtreme since they continued to charge my credit card for 6 months after cancellation.

Default Synergy

I've been a member at the Garden City Park location for about 2 years. Belonged to many other gyms and would have to rate this at the bottom. I am considering canceling my membership. The reasons that I have remained is that it is close to my home and inexepensive. Only about $35 monthly for dues, but they do charge an enrollment fee. I think it was about $100. The equipment is ok, they do have some good classes, but the staff barely acknowledges you when you come or go and cleanliness, especially the restrooms, is not the best. Last winter there were some issues with their parking lot which created a major problem for members to be able to park. This lasted about 2 months. There was no accommodation/apology made for the situation. In addition, the staff continued to park, which I feel was not the best customer service. They should have parked further away to allow their paying customers to use the lot.
