Pizza is pizza. I feel like im the only one who feels this way but really, how different can one place be from either? Minus chains, they are pretty much all the same. Never had a bad slice!
No it's not all the same, especially when it comes to specialty pies. But even with a regular slice, you need the right sauce to cheese ratio. Some pizzas are more doughy, others more crispy. Here in Sayville, Marc Anthony's has more texture in the dough and more oregano in their sauce while Sal's is more classic marinara....while Mama's in Oakdale next to Bagel Doctor makes good Grandma pizza. When we were house hunting, we went to Galleria in N. Merrick. That was a good slice. Mama Lombardi's, as mentooned is great too.
Mmmmmm...the best Sicilian. LaRosa's in Franklin Square has good sicilian too.
We had it when we were up over the summer. A couple of weeks later DH says "I want some sicilian....where did we just have good sicilian?" I said "Franklin Square" LOL.
I don't think they know what it is down here. It's Napolitan or deep dish.

Mmm. Delfiore is good, just a little pricey from what I recall. But really good.
