I think it's all a bunch of BS and hype. I am not going to do anything different this year than I have done any other years. If it happens and I die oh well been nice knowing you.

12/21/2012, is that when the teacher salaries go up or when the Islander's move?

Lmao... it was the superior l.i. schools that found the mistake and that this should have happened a year ago 12-21-2011....but they didn't

the only change was the earths orbit or its axis and that will effect some climates, maybe that would have effected the mayans climate and there world.

Maybe the Sumerians are returning

Mayans didn't count leap years...so the world should've ended last year.

But we do count leap years and we accounted for that when the calendar translation was done.

Harold Camping is such a nutball. This was supposed to happen like 6 times already and it didnt. People are freaking out over nothing. The one last year was "practice judgment day"...lol.

Its all a load of BS.

The mayan calendar was extrapolated from the stars and astronomy. They calculated the movement of the planets and applied a cyclical calendar year. 12/21/12 is simply a date that the "known universe" has reached a "starting point". There was no writings to back up any theory that its the end of the world, just the end of a cycle.
