Nassau County added the Container Store to the strip mall right down the road from Roosevelt Field Mall. That strip mall now houses Trader Joes, Bloomingdales, and some other high end clothing stores. There are rumors that the Shake Shack is also coming to Westbury.
It now takes a minimum of 2.5 hours to go from the exit portion of the Midtown Tunnel to Exit 49 on the LIE on any given weekend - for no particular reason at all. I stopped counting after that exit.
I think LIers are much more friendly than any other place I've been... seriously. We come off as a rough group of people, but I swear we have hearts!!

but LI dosin't realy have any hospitality compard to other parts of the country
