Where is there a good old fashioned Brooklyn style Jewish deli. Dont say Bens...they are too commercial.

Ben's Best in Rego Park. It is different from the Ben's chain. Ben's Best was featured on "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives." You will need them to roll you out of the place.

So many? I cant find one. South Shore of long island...there are none. Im talking about slopping wet corned beef, great pastrami, and surly waiters. I dont want faux Jewish. I want real stuff like you get in Brooklyn and Queens...years ago. A good kosher hot dog. Good deli meats.

And where can you get a good jewish appetizing store...with all the good lox and herring.

Aw come on!

You really could find NOTHING you'd like to eat at at Jewish deli? Absolutely nothing?

Maybe the poster is just use to mediocre Italian and worse Chinese. That is what happens when you live in the culinary wasteland known as Long Island. Maybe if people arent afraid of going past the Cross Island they would know what good food tastes like.

sure there's a few things which I enjoy. But you can find them at places other than "authentic" Jewish delis.
