Northeast Megapolis High Speed Rail Plans / Proposals , while I don't see the Long Island line ever getting built due to NIMBY's and cost the other lines have a strong chance of getting built along with Misc Improvements. Amtrak Ridership is up and continues to explode in the Northeast , it could reach 250,000 daily users by 2030 if it continues on its current trend. It currently eats away a huge hole in the Air Industry which has freed up space in this regions crowded air space...

I threw out the LRT lines and made it a regional rail map...those ridership estimates were done by the counties..., Private groups , and MTA/NJT

I don't even live in Long Island and I think this is needed. When will LI trains start running into Grand Central? One of the things they got right was the people mover from JFK to Jamaica, though it costs $5 to ride it.
