That's the problem with everything, we keep sending the same fools back to Albany, Cuomo gets a bye for now but not Skelos or Silver, they are directly responsible for the management we have at LIPA. You won't hear any criticism coming from them.

The worst part is that this is impacting electricians and construction workers getting to the homes, they are waiting on these gas lines and slowing the recovery. Now that they have created panic its going to take some time to build up confidence.

With my gas tank at less than 1/4 tank, I ran out to gas up tonight. Only two stations open, lines were longer than ever. I'll wait to see if it eases tomorrow, but I find this remarkable. We live on LI and pay more than most of the nation for everything. Yet our leadership cannot even get gas flowing 12 days after Sandy hit us. Useless politicians.

I'm not anti-government nor do I oppose taxes, even high taxes, assuming that we are getting what we pay for. Long Islanders do not. Our schools are overrated, our infrastructure is crumbling, our government agencies are swollen, unresponsive, and ineffective.

That pretty much sums it up nicely. Something I've been saying for many years. Unfortunately it takes a disaster to open one's eyes. Third world countries get better responses from their elected and sometimes not elected officials. Crazy, with all that money and supposedly an predominant area, it comes to this...sad indeed.

I noticed a gas station on Pulaski Road in Kings Park had a pretty short line this morning. I think there were about 7 cars waiting at the gas station when I was on my way to work. Not sure if they had just opened or not b/c I just happend to be driving bye. I hope the odd/even days really do help the situation on LI.

I saw the same thing today. I wanted to drive up to them and say, "Hey there is a station right up sunrise with NO LINE, why are you camping??!"
