It was just 1 guy doing some punching and biting... for a second it sounded like a mob was ready to attack any worker around.
It's still extremely disgraceful. These out-of-state workers have inconvenienced themselves to come here and work and live in bad conditions ... and some nut attacks one of them!
When the anesthetist shows up to administer the epidural you don't stop and ask "Are you in network" right ?
I think the suspect just was mad about the power situation (disgraceful what he did) and attacked out of frustration regardless of where the worker was from, it might as well be a LIPA guy.... very unfortunate situation.
Heard on 1010 WINS this morning, class action lawsuit against LIPA. Guess that's the end of them.
No, guess that means our rates go up to pay for it, a lawyer reaps a huge payday off our misery, and each ratepayer gets a coupon for $0.23 off their electric bill for one month as their "share" of the lawsuit winnings.
This lawsuit is bad news for us and a potential big payday for an attorney. Google "lawyer reviews Kenneth Mollins" and see some real gems of reviews for him!
What LIPA actually needs is an official governmental investigation on the federal level since Cuomo is all bark and no bite.

If he wanted to beat someone up, he should have stalked LIPA's board or executive staff. Idiot!
I'm not paying my bill. And I am suing them. They sucked and they totally dropped the ball and misled the customers. That last minute "able to receive power" bool****. Screw them. Nothing against the workers in the field they busted their ass out there. They should have been honest up front and told people if your **** was under water you're not getting power until it has been addressed, at least that way people could have made arrangements to either get their electric repaired or find alternative housing instead of sitting around in the dark freezing to death. ****LIPA!
An arrest was made in the East Meadow beating of a utility worker from Fla. The suspect just so happens to be a Levittown resident. I guess there wasn't much else to that story.

Yes, thank God!
Hmmmm ... are you trying to dis the people of Levittown? Come on, that's not fair.
I saw that story on News12 last night and the first thing that came to MY mind was that there just had to be more to the story. A guy from FL comes up here to work for LIPA - stops for dinner at a food establishment on Hempstead Turnpike in East Meadow - and gets dragged out of his truck and living crap beaten out of him?

News 12 is now reporting that the "beater" confronted the "beatee" regarding him urinating near his BMW. Words were exchanged, dirt was kicked, and beating commenced.
I don't think stupidity has geographic boundaries.

This just gets better and better ...
