You must think Sears builds everything that says Kenmore on it.
We get your redundant (and smarmy) point but Target and Walmart own their own production facilities for most items like that and brand them however they want. In fact, don't be surprised if they BUY some of Hostess's capacity for their own operations if the logistics are right. Pabst was bought by Miller and Miller is made in original Pabst breweries. Sears builds anything with Kenmore on it THAT IS COST EFFECTIVE for them to build. If not, no, it's likely made in China. Not a Hostess bakery. Those "store" brands are part of the problem. Supermarkets are all getting killed. Wonder, Beefsteak? Outdated brands with little loyalty anymore. Twinkies? The bane of Michelle Obama and Bloomberg. Hostess is going the way of the post office for the same reasons...slow or unwilling to change, union baggage, poor management.

Yes...and hopefully a non-union shop.

More unionists out of work. Good day for American industry.

I buy arnold, Stroehman or pepperidge farm breads. I do buy beefsteak rye and pumpernickle from time to time. IMO there is nothing like fresh bakery rye bread. My husband knows a guy who works in the factory that makes wonder bread and the facility is beyond dirty. But that may be true for alot of factories that make food.

Twinkies do not come from a factory.

They are sent from God...Manna from Heaven.

Yeah, at least the departing Hostess CEO got a multi million dollar payout when he left. A great day for the American MBA "do as I say not as I do" class.

Bimbo owns a lot more on your bread aisle than IBC does. Stroehmann's, Arnold, Entenmann's, Freihofer's, Bimbo, and Thomas's. I'd expect them to pick up the remains.

The hell with Twinkies, what about my Drakes Cakes? No more Yankee Doodles, Ring Dings, Funny Bones, Devil Dogs or Coffee Cakes. My childhood just died.
