well its thanksgiving weekend , and we decided to go over to see whats left at the planting fields.

quite a bit left to photograph.

Great shots, as usual. Were those taken in the greenhouse? By the way, did you ever see the movie "Sabrina"? Love the scenes in Planting Fields' greenhouse for that movie.

most were taken in the greenhouse. there were some stragglers still outdoors but not many.

I used to go to Planting Fields and and then swing by Bailey's Arboretum on the way back to the house. By any chance do you ever go out to Bailey's? I've been wondering how it held up from Sandy.

i have ben to baileys but not recently. i find there is usually a limited amount of stuff to shoot compared to other gardens.

Yeah, Planting Fields is far superior to Bailey's. It's mostly a sentimental place for me--wedding photos were taken there, and I have lots of fond memories of taking the kids to feed the ducks. At any rate, getting back to your photos, love the shot of the rose.

thanks.. more and more i like taking shots of flowers because when you get good exposures and composition the possibilities are endless.

Good stuff! One of my favorite places to shoot - go there often.
My friend Joe was there today shooting, too. I had planned to head there also, but I decided it was too cold.

BTW - Yesterday(or day before) I saw a car with license plate MATHJAK. That you?

wow, actually no thats not my plate but i would have loved to see it. we were there friday after thanksgiving. i drive a black 2012 jeep sahara.
