These two very very quiet special district election/vote could significantly lower property taxes and be the catalyst for eliminating hundreds of unnecessary layers of government!

Tuesday 12//11/12 Gordan Heights Fire Commissioner Voter. Candidate Joyce Bourne wants to eliminate & merge the fire district to save millions of tax dollars.

Wednesday 12/12/12 Vote to abolish Sanitation District 2 in Hempstead.

Some Long Islanders have a chance to consolidate - Michael Dawidziak

I read the article. A little histrionic to say it could "eliminate 100's of layers of govt" but I do like the sentiment! Let's see if anyone votes first and how it shakes out.
