UG I'm so sorry guys. I looked for that sign the other day. I saw the one that says LIMA near the entrance. Where's the "Welcome to Long Island" sign??? Is it on one of the runways?
This is the river as it runs behind West Main Street. This may still be part of Milton L. Burns Park, but I'm not fully sure. It's facing west, just southwest of the picnic tables.

Heres a 1932 shot of the Elmont Road overpass in Elmont NY. Which is still there today. The parkway below is the Southern State. The Cross Island can be seen in the background Under the bridge.
