I have a friend who loves going to AC but will not drive by herself. Classic bus no longer goes to AC. The Hampton Jitney take 5.5 hours to get there. Would be easier to fly to Vegas.

I know in Nassau groups such as the American Legion run monthly bus trips. Anyone know of any in Suffolk.

Thanks.

Try Inter-County Transportation - 631-661-9200. They run buses daily to/from AC throughout Suffolk, Nassau, Queens. Call them and they can tell you where to purchase tickets, etc.

If you want to get there quickly, there is a plane that goes from Republic Airport to AC but it costs more and you get no comps or vouchers. It's called Dee Casino Tours. I don't have a number for them but I've heard they're pretty good. I think it's $100 R/T for a day trip.

PS: The bus trip is very long!! They do show DVDs, though, and you'll probably end up talking with people. If anything else, just bring a newspaper to read or a book or an iPod to listen to music or sleep.

Yes!! I just remembered this. Quite a few of the local libraries have day trips to AC. The cost is about the same as if you took the bus yourself, though.
