Ya know that left you make at the duck pond and watermill? Well if you make that immediate rite next to the watermill theres a big white house on the right side. I went to school with the kid who lived there. (Todd Heany)

Now that I think about it Im not too sure if he owned it or his mom was the care taker of the place. I mean he had free riahn of the place. We used to walk around the bend tords the sound with his shot gun and shoot stuff all the time. But there was something weird about the living arrangements! (early 1980's)

The Stonybrook Carraige Museum is on the list too...They also have a Christmas tour of all some of the historic homes and are open to the public..

The Long Island Museum of American Art, History&Carriages

There are a couple of top notch restaurants in the village. I don't know the names of them though.

To try and set a mental image for you, old Stony Brook is old, and strictly for the rich!! A fixer upper will cost you 750,000 beans. Put the 2 together, old/rich and it makes for a very elegant/quaint little village!

I agree SB may be quaint, but not much goin on. Port Jeff has a great vibe and it has The Tiger Lily Cafe ! YUM !
