This evening, I went to the gas station for my weekly fill up. There was a bit of a line. After getting the gas, I went to PathMark for a few things. After I left PM, I drove past the gas station the lines on both sides were all the way down the street.
At least there weren't people in the store buying up all the milk, bread, and eggs!
There is a major over reaction going on right now. We live on Long Island, we get snow storms, we get Nor'easters, this is nothing new people. Will the lights go out? For some people, yes but most likely only for a few hours to a day at most. I filled up my car yesterday because it was almost empty and I needed gas for the snowblower. When I saw how busy the station was and saw all the red gas cans I knew the panic was starting. So now add gasoline to the list along with eggs, milk, bread and snow shovels EVERY time it snows.
NEWS FLASH : The snow will end Saturday morning, numerous 4x4's will be strewn along the highways , my family will enjoy the first real snowfall in two years, the roads will be clear by the evening and life will go on as normal.
