With the storm coming, I realize there is another thread about Nemo.
But this has nothing to do with Nemo.

I am in FL right now & my mail is not being forwarded properly from NY. I want to make sure my LIPA bill is paid, so I have been trying to log onto LIPA's website to pay my bill since Saturday.
Every day I get the same message:

"The server you are trying to access is either busy or experiencing difficulties. Please close the Web browser, open a new browser window, and try logging in again."

Well - the "again" has been at least a dozen times.

LIPA's server is down.
You'd think by now LIPA would have upgraded their computer systems, especially a server that allows people to give money to LIPA!

It's laughable.

Good Luck to everyone with the coming storm.

Try calling the 800 number 800-490-0075 and ask to have it put on your personal record that you have tried to pay your bill and the server is down. It would not surprise me if it is not up in time for you to pay your bill and this way it will be documented in your file and I would also ask to have a letter confirming the convo if I were you. They get slap happy on late charges I have been told.

The short answer is no. Given the cost of the LIPA electrical rates, which are extraordinarily high, you will not get value for your $$.

After a stint as a consultant at LILCO in the mid-90's, I feel lucky every time I turn on a light switch and the lights actually illuminate.
