"comprehensive list" sounds like this is a report/article of some kind rather than wanting to play open ice.

Here's a good list from Midnight Hockey: Island Ice Hockey | Long Island Adult Ice Hockey | 631-262-0543
Here's the rinks my league (Hockey LI) plays in: Hockey Long Island

They overlap. Also my friend told me theres a new one in Port Washington - http://www.pwskating.com/. If you want details on which are the best conditioned rinks, just ask. Off the bat I will say Bethpage is awesome. I also try to bring my kids nearly every weekend.

Oh there are a few outdoor ones too (obviously not listed for leagues). These are a couple from Town of Oyster Bay only.

Marjorie R. Post Community Park Ice Rink - (516) 797-7990 OPEN FROM NOVEMBER 23, 2012 THRU MARCH 3, 2013
Unqua and Merrick Road, Massapequa

Syosset-Woodbury Community Park Ice Rink - (516) 677-5990 OPEN FROM NOVEMBER 23, 2012 THRU MARCH 3, 2013
7800 Jericho Turnpike, Syosset

That website is interesting, and lead me to more interesting sites too.

Thank you. I just wanted to get a feel for how many rinks, and thinking it would lead me to how popular ice hockey is on long island. Would you say it is a popular youth sport? I have seen Chaminade play in the World Ice Arena, but his year the varsity does not play there anymore.

I actually play adult open hockey at the World Ice Arena in Queens. And I like to watch adult league games sometimes here or City Ice Pavilion also in Queens. I am talking with the staff about how awesome it will be if somehow the top Adult league teams from City Ice Pavilion, Chelsea Piers, and some Long Island league to square off with each other. Chelsea Piers by the way has a pretty big league going.

^ there are a ton of kids in developmental programs throughout the island. For instance Bethpage has the "Future Rangers" program for 5 year olds. My kids are 4 and I've had them on the ice over a year now, but they're still not quite there yet for hockey. They encourage skating sessions (8 sessions over a couple months, a few times a year) before hockey even starts - prerequisites. I came from the roller hockey side and there are probably just as many parents getting their kids into that (much cheaper too).

The Sports Arena - Homepage

Is this the only place that has deck hockey, or floor hockey? Is there another place that has maybe a form of hockey with the skates, ice nor roller? Like on a turf or something.

Does anyone know where I could possibly get a pair of tourmax 2000 hockey skates. I have found similar looking hockey skates online but, when I order them they never have them in stock or are discontinued. I should have taken better care of my skates back in the day.

I don't know what those are, but wouldn't they have dated technology? Boots are lighter and have more support and the blades & runners are even better today. There's a reason some ridiculous % of NHLers wear Bauer Supreme/Vapor. A couple years back I switched from old CCM Tacks and man what a night/day difference. Even the angle which the runner sits you at made a difference.

I'm talking about the old quads from the late 80's. Yes I know they are antiquated. I'm not looking to play anymore on a regular basis but, it would fun to mess around.
