I have 2 kids who cannot sit still for 2-3 hours for an auto repair. I don't have anyone that could drop us off/pick us up and I need recommendations on good auto repair with nearby shopping centers that I could kill time at. I'm in Suffolk County (Ronkonkoma area). Can anyone recommend a reputable auto shop in a shopping center or around one that is family friendly?

Try King Bear in St James. There's a little bit around within walking distance, or maybe you can get a cab for the short ride to the Smithaven Mall.

King Bear are crooks. Brought my car there years ago and was told I needed a $900 repair. Brought the car to the local neighborhood shop for a second opinion, $175. Hmmmm.......

I shouldn't have said repair. I meant oil change and regular maintenance. Usually only takes a few hours. I have a baby and a small toddler so I can't rent a car unless I switch all the car seats which would be a hassle.

There's a Sears at the Smithaven Mall that I'm sure will do regular maintenance like that. Just don't let them upsell you on stuff you don't need.

a oil change is 15 minutes , find one of those shops that advertise quick oil changes/maintenances , no need to go crazy for a oil change . Or you can asked a local shop if they can do you a favor and arrange a quick oil change , telling your situation . good luck
