Deer on LI - What towns in LI have you seen deer?

It’s very disturbing to read that there may be hunting practices on Long Island.

We think we are better than deer because we can drive cars and go shopping.

It's much easier to just plow over a squirrel with your car. You don't have to slow down or be inconvenienced in any way. Just mow 'em down.
Can't do that with deer though. God forbid you gotta drive a little slower and be more aware in known deer areas.

You are correct on this. Though others just blame the deer only.


But the lower you are to the ground the more ticks you are likely to pick up.

There has always been hunting on Long Island, however deer season is generally January. Supposedly this is supposed to be controlled hunting in certain areas.
