I don't think it's too bad. Shutters and door color don't matter to me at all. The driveway into bay window is the biggie and of course that will take some dough to correct. I'd say first cut back that heavy brush along the driveway side of the house. It looks like it's swallowing up the place. As the plants grow in in front it will fill things out. Maybe plant some eunymous (spelling?) and azaleas. Good size, give different colors 3 or 4 seasons and easy maintenance (and fairly cheap at Lowes and HD).
I think an olive color will go well with the shutters and have bricks placed around the flowers.
Maybe a green (sage?) like the shutters in the top photo in post #34. And the door painted to match either the existing red shutters or to with the new green stucco. Red and green are complementary colors and go well with the tan roof shingles.

Since when has a garage increased curb appeal? Garages are functional, utilitarian. They invariably detract from the proportions and appearance however.
