It just irks me to see my neighbors 4 cars with license plates from another state (New Hampshire).
They have a house there but they live here year round. Isn't this insurance fraud? Should they be reported?
check out how many PA plates you see around here lately, especially in Brooklyn and Queens. Since NY decided to ram registration costs skyward, many more people are registering their vehicles out of state.
Another popular place to register vehicles is Vermont, and these are usually high end vehicles owned by people who have second homes up there. Believe me, most people who actually reside in Vermont do not drive Audis and Infinitis.

REALLY? I think you be better off watching what is dumped into our water supply.
Initially I was going to turn in my hot neighbor for out of state plates, but instead I complained about her NOT walking around naked in her backyard. I thought that complaint would yield better results.
NYS registration is still relatively low compared to -some- other states, but with an OoS registration you can avoid paying for an inspection annually.
Who cares what state their plates are from? It may be illegal but if they aren't bothering you and affecting how you live your life them MYOB! Sounds like an Alice Kravitz to me.
Even though I answered earlier I can see where the OP is coming from. We have that issue here, people move from VA or other states totally and keep their tags for years. That's even been used to justify fee increases over the years (they would have been raised anyway, it is MD after all).
The issue is stickier, as it is here, if they keep a residence, and claim it. That's why I brought up domicile v. residence.
Seriously though...don't you have more important things to worry about? Try reading up on global warming, differential equations et al. lol!
Global warming another fraud.
