I would have to disagree with that..

- Some of the areas once universally considered "bad" like Port Jefferson, North Amityville and Bay Shore have definitely gotten better. Even Wyandanch is not *as bad* as it compared to the 1980's.

- Mastic Beach, North Bellport and Roosevelt are about the same as they were in the beginning.

- However, yes, some places like Hempstead, Brentwood/CI and Gordon Heights have gotten worse since the beginning.

I lived in West Hempstead my whole life until 5 years ago i moved to Queens. I come back often bc my parents still live there. It has not changed since i was a kid. I've seen no changes at all. I'm not saying it's it's as bad as some of the worst towns in LI but i am saying that there is more crime, robberies, drugs in that town then in the surrounding towns. That's all i'm saying.

Default Why do you want to know then?

And also, Lakeview doesn't have a unique zip code so you're website doesn't quite work.

Also, any crime/socioeconomic statistics website I find shows that Lakeview is about the same as other "alright" places, like West Hempstead or Franklin Square. I just wanted a person's opinion.
Lakeview vs Rockville Centre

While perusing the Lakeview page you posted, I see that it's all screwed up. It's combined with a Lakeview NY that's located upstate near Buffalo.
