I posted from the heart with an actual quote from my son. I really can't believe all of this negativity over me raving about the school I chose to send him to.
What the ? OMG, the LI forum clique is at it again!
I think some of this forum's prolific posters need to take a break from jumping all over another poster, simply because they didn't like the OP or the OP's post. In fact, maybe LI clique members need to take a holiday, away from LI. I think the low quality of life and high cost of living are getting to you all.
To the OP, unfortunately, I think your post, apparently written sincerely, was interpreted as spam. LI is the home of the sarcastic forum member.

The reason for the negativity is that it's rare for someone to come here out of the blue and sing the praises of a school without any prompting or questions from others. Most endorsements of schools come in response to posters' questions about whether they should move to a particular district.
Whatever your motivation, your post looks like an attempt to get free advertising for the school. I'm re-reading your post as well as the wording on the school's home page. The tone sounds mighty similar.
That's not what you may have meant it to be, but that's how some of us are receiving it . . . and I'm still not sure we're wrong. I would bet you're a teacher at the school.

I'd bet it's an owner or someone with a financial interest in the school. I'd bet money on it.

On the contrary, I will say once again that one of the best qualities of Long Islanders is that it's hard to put one over on us. If you do a little Googling on the OP, you will find that she is, indeed, a teacher . . . probably at the Ivy League School.

If that's true than its disgusting and a sign that no parent should put their child in a school with such horrible ethics.
