Didn't you grow up in Garden City? Isn't that considered south shore?
What about mid shore towns like Mineola, Melville, Farmingdale, Westbury? Where would they fall? Maybe they will play the referee role?

Couldn't have said it better! I'll go where the party is, on the South Shore!
You forgot Cheese Wiz for the South Shore. I'll take some!

I pit the tag team of Pete King and Kate Murray against all North Shore punk challengers! Who wants in on the action?!

This thread is hilarious! As mentioned previously, the south shore has a big population advantage so that would probably be the difference.

Could've sworn I saw Twingles post somewhere that she grew up in Huntington-- or was it Elke? I dunno

But you bring up a good point-- I think my neighborhood would be considered "middle ground" but we're a bit closer to the south shore than we are the north shore.

This should've been a poll thread, though. My money is on the south shore. I think some of the kids there wouldn't even go into Rockville Centre at night!

In Suffolk, that may work, but in Nassau, the LIE swings up north. I looked on Google Maps-- maybe the LIRR tracks or Jericho Turnpike? Then the LIE in eastern Nassau/Suffolk?

South Shore all the way. Why even ask? We used to get into tussles with Deer Park guys all the time. So just imagine those battle hardened SS guys taking on the pampered effete CSH & Syosset wimps.

Interesting conundrum. Normally a close battle would be South Levittown (the uppity "S" section of course) vs North Levittown (our redneck cousins, lol). BUT, you just put both Levittowns AND Hicksville on the same team, thereby guaranteeing the annihilation of points north.
