Are N.Babylon and the surrounding communities iffy as far as safety? Or are they just run-down looking? Run-down is OK as long as there is a strong family community and someone who makes a damn good espresso! My question is really about the Italian factor and notsomuch the apparent poverty of a particular place, but if there's a definite, undeniable red flag looming over Babylon, I'd like to know so I don't waste time looking at homes there.

Youre fine in Babylon Village and West Islip

Does Lindy have a good town center? Any shops/restaurants there stand out in your minds?
