There is no poverty here in North Babylon or Deer Park. But you will find real Italian-Americans here - very nice down to earth people. The area is far from run down. Don't listen to those other people on this board - they don't live here! Come here for yourself and drive around the area called Sunset City, or the Phelps Lane area or the Poet Section. You will see some of the nicest neighborhoods on LI with very well kept homes.

BTW you can get great fresh raviolis on DP Avenue.

nbres - i will take a ride and check it out one weekend. i realize that i should see these places with my own eyes. fresh raviolis sounds wonderful, too. now, let me ask: the sunset city, poets, and phelps areas sound great, but is it the case that if you turn a corner or wander too far away you can find yourself in an undesirable area?

I hear that dix hills is very expensive and there is no town center. Am I correct?
