I am looking to ship a small SUV from LI to Naples, FL. Any idea how much this should run me? Do you have a company you can recommend?

We shipped our SUV from Bayside NY to Venice Florida this past May and used a company AutoCarry based out of NJ. Door to door service. The price was under $700 however it was shipped in "off season". Peak season rates most likely would be higher. Car arrived within 5 business days.

I shipped my litle car to California for $1000 & I was able to track it so I knew exactly where it was (it had been to Casper, Wyoming and Las Vegas and I never have). It arrived in perfect condition and I would do it again anytime. My place was based out of New Jersey, too. I am not sure of the name, but it could have been Auto-carry.

Horseless Carriage is generally regarded as being the among the very best in the industry and only transports your vehicle in an ENCLOSED car carrier. They are not a broker who simply farms out your job to the lowest independent owner/operator! You generally GET what you PAY FOR with auto transport. No, I don't work for Horseless Carriage - just used them in the past.

Enclosed Auto Transport, Enclosed Auto Shipping, Classic Car Storage - Horseless Carriage Carriers

I used Elephant Auto Transport a couple of times several years ago, it was $600-$700 door to door.

If you have a couple of days off, you may be better off taking the Amtrak Autotrain. Cheaper than shipping.
