Hi~ my fiance and I are going to see some of the villas soon. They are a convenient location for us and I don't know if we'd be able to afford a nice house in Plainview otherwise.

Does anyone know anything about them, positive or negative?

Thanks so much in advance!

Elaborate on the reason why it's convenient and provide a budget range and we can help you out more. Sorry I don't know where the villas are, but I'm in Plainview most of my life.

The Villas are next to La Piazza on Old Country Road.

Its convenient b/c its not a far commute to NYC (just take the hicksville line) for my fiance, and in the near future when we have children, my parents are 5 minutes away to help out. Also, ample shopping centers and near the LIE for me to go to work.

You should not assume you can't afford a house in Plainview. There are a ton of homes on the market and some are in the same price range as the 2 bedroom condo in the Villas. If money is the only factor in choosing a condo, you need to do some shopping around.

Thanks, the problem is that most houses in our price range are either on a main road or need tons of work. At least the villas were built in the 70s.

don't know what the villas are going for or what your price range is but Plainview has a lot of suitable ranches in the low 400s. Taxes are 10-12k though. Good schools, great library, great location.

I think to get a nice, more or less updated ranch its around $450,000. In the villas, the prices have dropped dramatically to close to $400,000 and a little over. You do have to pay maintenance, however.

I live in the villas and am thinking of putting my unit up for sale. i absolutely love it here. they take care of the property very well (including shoveling, pool maintainence, gardening, etc). How big of a unit are you looking for? My unit is 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms (one floor). It is in mint condition, as we replaced EVERYTHINNNGG when we moved in four years ago.
