Now, I'm probably not on here as much as some of you, but I've noticed that despite the large number of posts, all of them fall into one of only a few categories:
1- [insert profession here] make too much money
2- Do I make enough money to own a house/have a stay at home spouse/stay on LI?
3- Are there any/too many [insert minority group here] in [insert neighborhood]/OMG you're so racist
4- Reasons why young people don't want to live on LI/LI can't become too much like THE CITY
5- There is something at the house that I own/rent/am considering buying for which there is no permit.
Let's spice things up a bit! I'm 32 years old and this board makes me feel like I'm 90. What was the last really fun thing you did, or really cool place you ate, on Long Island?
I'm 35 weeks pregnant, so my idea of fun right now is having 5 minutes where my back doesn't hurt...but I went to a Brooklyn Cyclones game Labor Day weekend, walked the boardwalk and got ripped off when buying a non-alcoholic frozen drink. Fireworks after the game. Cheap, fun night out.

Interesting premise but page 1 of the forum has exactly zero of these 5 topics.
On Saturday went to 9/11 Memorial (NYC), San Genarro Feast (NYC), Cosmos game (LI). 1 out of 3 on LI ain't bad. I have never eaten at a "really cool place" on LI. "Really cool" and LI don't usually end up in the same sentence unless we're talking about the weather.
Take a ride out to Stillwell Preserve, Bethpage State Park, or Glacier Ridge and ride my mountain bike on the trails.
